Yesterday afternoon, I received the news that my dear friend and World Help partner in Uganda, John Michael Mugerwa, had been tragically killed in a car accident with several others in Kakira. My heart sank. I thought about his wife, Evah, his family, his congregation of 1,500, and the 1,400 children he cares for at The Destiny Villages of Hope, where over half have been affected in some way by AIDS, losing one or both parents to the deadly disease. Just recently, we celebrated World Help’s 20th Anniversary as a staff, along with several special guests from our board and donor community (click here to see photos from the event). Over the past 20 years, World Help has seen tremendous growth, both externally in our global work, and internally with our addition of new departments, positions, and staff members. Meet Justin Fredrich. Justin has been on our team at World Help for over a year now and brings energy, enthusiasm, and humor to all corners of the workplace. Originally, Justin served on the Scheduling Team for the Children of the World choir —finding concert openings in churches, schools, and universities all over the country.
