Welcome to the World Help Blog!

First of all, we’re so excited to have you here. Whether you’re very familiar with us as an organization or you’re just curious to find out more, this space will be a great connecting point for you.

For some time now, we’ve been sharing our stories with you on several different areas of our website. For a while, it totally worked. But as we’ve grown as an organization, we’ve gradually realized that the places we go, the people we serve, and the work we do are not always as accessible and “sharable” as they should be.

We realized that however unintentional, we had kept some of the best parts of us inaccessible to the people who actually want to hear about and support our ventures the most.

That was something we had to fix.

So we took some time to think. We thought about our story . . . we thought about our voice . . . and we thought about you. We kept coming back to one concept: the power of the story.

We believe that every individual, family, community, and organization has a story to tell. It’s the stories that make us who we are. World Help has been serving for two decades now—we have so many stories to tell! Stories of children, mothers, fathers, church leaders, and communities. Stories from our national partners and our incredible donors. Stories of hope. Stories of struggle. Stories of life. Stories of the transformative power of Christ’s love and salvation. Now that’s powerful!

So now that you know the why, we want to cover the how. What should you expect from the World Help Blog?

Authenticity. It’s one of our core values and is probably the most important goal we have for our blog. We want you to feel as though you know us. We plan to accomplish this by being faithful in telling stories full of depth, insight, and honesty. Earning and keeping your trust is paramount to us, and is the foundation for any lasting relationship.

Variety. The nature of our work is very diverse, so our blog will be too! You may have first heard about us through our Children of the World choir, but did you know that we partner with nationals worldwide to facilitate Child Advocacy and Sponsorship, Bible Distribution, Humanitarian Aid, Church Planting, and Clean Water Projects? We hope that by providing insight into each of these areas, your passion will be sparked to participate in one (or several) of our ongoing projects. Our authors will include our President and CEO, Vernon Brewer, our staff, partners, and from time to time, special guest contributors.

Dialog. World Help bloggers are committed to interacting and engaging with you. So don’t be shy . . .  speak up! Knowing your thoughts, likes, dislikes, and suggestions will ultimately benefit us all. We will always strive to serve you better. Keeping this in mind, if you do see something we could improve upon, please be constructive with your critique. Provide solutions and ask questions. Be honest, but please remain respectful. We want to cultivate an atmosphere of discussion and innovation and will not tolerate inappropriate or disparaging comments (See Ephesians 4:29 for more.). And remember, this blog is for you—own it!

So, this is it! We can’t wait to begin sharing our story with you.

Thank you for supporting World Help and for showing the love of Christ to millions of people around the world. We couldn’t do it without you.

And thank you . . . for making our story a part of yours.
